The Foundation Center connects nonprofits and the grantmakers supporting them to tools they can use and information they can trust. The Center maintains the most comprehensive database on U.S. grantmakers and their grants. They also operate research, education, and training programs designed to advance philanthropy at every level. They offer a range of workshops, classes and events in their offices in Atlanta, Cleveland, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. The Virtual Classroom of the Learning Lab section of the Foundation Center's web pages have online tutorials as well as an offering of formal training programs in the areas of the funding research process, proposal writing, grantseeking on the web, developing a fundraising plan, and related topics.
