Showleh Tolbert
Showleh Tolbert joined PARSA Community Foundation as its Executive Director in March of 2009. Showleh received her MBA from University of California, Irvine; an undergraduate degree in Finance from California State University, San Bernardino and a Fundraising Certificate from University of California, Irvine. Showleh has over twenty years of experience in business management, customer service, new-business development, materials and supply chain management.
In 2005, Showleh left the corporate world to follow her lifelong passion of helping others. She is an advocate for children’s rights. Her personal passion is to educate the public in preventing child abuse, helping child abuse survivors overcome their past and develop healthy relationship skills.
Most recently, Showleh served as the first Development Director for Girls Inc. of Orange County. During her tenure with Girls Inc. she created and implemented the agency’s first Strategic Fund Development plan, taking the organization to the next level and doubling its budget.
Showleh was born in Iran, raised in England and moved to the United States when she was nineteen years old. Previously, Showleh lived in Southern California where she was very active in her city and various community projects, including planning and coordinating two city-wide fundraising events that raised funds for the victims of the 2004 Asian Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina.
