Mercury Multimedia Wins National Aegis Award For Non-Profit Video
St. Louis, MO – August, 2008 – Mercury Multimedia, Inc., a local film and video production company that focuses on business results, won a 2008 Aegis Award for a sales and marketing video produced for the PARSA Community Foundation, a leading Iranian-American philanthropic institution.
The Aegis Awards are the video industry's premier competition for peer recognition of outstanding video productions and non-network TV commercials. This year's Aegis Award is one of five awards that Mercury has earned in the past several months.
"PARSA: A Celebration of Culture and Community" was recognized for its outstanding production quality in the category of "Sales/Promotional" videos by a distinguished panel of industry professionals. The video was created as an educational introduction to attendees of PARSA CF’s annual fundraising event. As part of the event festivities, the video played to a responsive and enthusiastic crowd.
Mercury won this award for their success in creating a dynamic visual showcase of PARSA CF’s mission to get Iranian-Americans to give more and to give more strategically.
“We wanted to focus on educating potential donors about the benefits of collective giving, long term investment in the community via an endowment fund, and how much more has yet to be done,” said Noosheen Hashemi, Co-founder, PARSA Community Foundation. “By communicating these messages in a video, Mercury helped us tell a compelling story about why PARSA CF must exist and must grow rapidly. We were able to showcase grantees as well as progressive community leaders, who together, are building Iranian civil society in America."
The PARSA CF video, which was produced by Angie Lawing, includes Iranian community leaders and grantees from around the country speaking about the need for civic engagement and preservation and advancement of Iranian arts and culture. With nearly twenty interviews in more than five cities over a two-week period, Mercury demonstrated expertise not only in video production, but also in strategic communications.
“Capturing the essence of PARSA on video was an exciting challenge, and we thoroughly enjoyed the process and the end result,” said Angie Lawing, Senior Producer and Co-owner of Mercury Multimedia. “We are happy that PARSA was so pleased with this video and look forward to working on their next marketing video in 2009.”
