PARSA CF Film Honors Persian Philanthropy

PARSA CF FILM HONORS PERSIAN PHILANTHROPY
In line with its efforts to preserve Persian history and celebrate today's heroes, PARSA Community Foundation has produced a video chronicling the history of Persian Philanthropy from the Achaemenid era to the present-day diaspora in the United States. Titled "History of Persian Philanthropy," it is available for viewing on YouTube at:

The video showcases many deeds and events that demonstrate the roots of philanthropy in ancient Iran, each of which is a shining example of the generous nature of the Iranian spirit. It also gives examples of how today, Iranian philanthropists living abroad are becoming ever more active in helping advance their community as well as the society at large.

As the first Persian community foundation dedicated to growing philanthropy to serve the needs of a growing diaspora, PARSA CF seeks to demonstrate our community's positive contributions in America and around the globe.

PARSA CF is hoping the video will spur community members to share information about their activities as well as other volunteers and philanthropists who have prioritized service as a life goal.   No deed is too small and every single act of kindness counts.  Whether it's sorting cans in a soup kitchen, organizing a voter registration drive or supporting cultural exchanges, we want to spread the word.

Please write to info@parsacf.org and share names, bios, stories, photos and any information that might further our community's knowledge of its past and awareness about its prsent. References to films, books or other research material are welcome.
