IQSA's mission is to preserve the 19th and early 20th century heritage of the Qajar era through research, archiving, publication, conference presentation and dissemination of materials from public and private sources to as wide an audience as possible.
IQSA is a non-profit, non-political, educational, academic institution dedicated to research, publication and preservation of 19th and early 20th century Persian heritage, particularly focusing on the Qajar era. IQSA was founded in 2000, and has held yearly international conferences on Qajar era related themes. IQSA also publishes a yearly Journal, Qajar Studies, now also in its seventh year. IQSA has an Advisory Council composed of internationally recognized authorities in the field of Qajar Studies. IQSA is headquartered and registered in the State of California.
