Founded in 1977, AVAZ performs widely throughout the United States and through its concerts and master classes, serves as a voice for the Iranian American community. Since dance has been banned in Iran, the rich repertoire of both contemporary and traditiona dances keeps this vibrant art form alive and progressive through its production of new works.
